today's guest star is kate bajic from the UK. her brooches caught my eye when i first found her website--the simplicity of each piece, the repetitive elements, the asymmetrical design and patterns, and the subtle details in the form of hammer marks, piercing, and layering make for some really lovely work. i especially like the matte finish on the gold brooch pictured above - that soft yellow color is just gorgeous.
